BrondaBailey’s Weblog

Coming to you live from the Village!

Oscar the Grouch’s Domain

The garbage men make their rounds on Tuesdays round these parts.  On Monday night, I noticed something a little interesting.  After mentioning it to Brenda, I said aloud (in a decidedly non-inside voice), “I’ve got to get a picture of that for the blog!”  So, across the street I went to document the beautiful scene of Clearfield at its best.

Neighbor gone

Holy crap!

Wow, that’s quite a stash! Don’t worry, the Supreme Court decided in 1988 in the case of California vs Greenwood that when you voluntarily put your trash out on the curb, it can be searched. Don’t worry, the fourth amendment is still firmly in place. The real question is, were these just from one night, or had he been storing these up to throw them a way all at once to impress the neighbors?

Neighbor gone

Is it any wonder we were happy to see this sign go up? 🙂  Anybody interested in moving across the street from us?

  1. Are those the same people that started your lawn on fire with their fireworks? Ahhh . . . the village. Takes me back.

  2. No, they’re next to the people who tried to set our lawn on fire. Not that they were really trying (they would, of course, have called it a good time) but lighting a firework that has been run over by a car which afterwards launches into my lawn just doesn’t win you points in my book.

  3. Why weren’t we invited to that party? We need to expand our circle of friends. I am kidding geez. If I could only get you people to stop buying diet soda I’d be happy.

  4. Based on the lack of beer bottles or cans and the amount of pint bottles, They’ve been saving these up for a bit. If they are moving, they are probably getting rid of their house collection. Ben had as impressive a Whiskey bottle collection going once. I had to make him throw away helping him move, though.
